Quick Start Instructions

Spoink makes it easy and fast to start creating multimedia content for your Spoink blog or your third party blog or web site. You can use almost any telephone, IM client, email account or mobile phone to begin podcasting and blogging from almost anywhere.

Posting to your Spoink Account

1) Send an email to blog@spoink.com
2) Call 1-888-8-Spoink [1-888-877-6465], press option 1
3) IM Spoink (*address depends upon your IM provider)
4) SMS Spoink at blog@spoink.com
5) MMS Spoink at blog@spoink.com

Detailed Instructions

1) To send a multimedia email (text and either a picture or video) to Spoink you must first add the email address that you will be sending the message from to your Spoink account under Settings. IMPORTANT: A) Email must be in plain text format - not HTML. B) Email must contain a text description of the picture or video. C) Email must only contain 1 attached file.

2) To record a Podcast from any telephone you must first add the phone number that you will be calling in from to your Spoink account under Settings. Also the phone must have Caller ID block disabled [Learn How].

3) To send a text blog post from IM you must first add your IM address to your Spoink account under Settings. You must then add the Spoink IM address as a buddy (or friend). The correct Spoink IM address will be provided once you enter your IM username in your Spoink account.

4) To SMS a text blog post to Spoink you must first add the SMS email address of your phone to your Spoink account under Settings. The fastest method to discover your phones SMS email address is to first send yourself an SMS to your regular email address. Look at the from address and add this to your Spoink account under My Email Addresses.

5) To MMS a picture or video blog post to Spoink you must first add the MMS email address of your phone to your Spoink account under Settings. The fastest method to discover your phones MMS email address is to first send yourself an MMS to your regular email address. Look at the from address and add this to your Spoink account under My Email Addresses. IMPORTANT: A) MMS must contain a text description of the picture or video. B) MMS must only contain 1 attached file.
